the original app from wd didnt work with my device, so I gave this one a shot and it went very well!

Hideous Interface, buggy, crashes quite often.

I downloaded the WD app and it doesnt work on my WD tv live plus.... this app was on the same page.... it works perfectly. took seconds to get working and I love it!! thank you

This is the best WD live app available. Finds my live tv plus way faster than the other apps, allows me to access all my network drives and even network shares on my pc quickly and easily. No more bothering with that lame remote WD gave us! Highly recommended!

I have 2 WDTV Live Plus HD consoles and this app will not detect either of them over my network. Being somewhat tech savvy I tried to troubleshoot this to no avail. So I contacted their support and they just said too bad

Its working perfectly with wd tv live. Very easy to operate and search contents.

Since the upgrade this app that used to work great before stopped working. At this point its not even loading. A quick fix will be appreciated.

Id give it 5 stars but control is not there. You are part of the program here. It gets rid of the "This video is restricted by the video content owner etc.." . Not a big deal since I have a computer beside tv. Not sure what is not working from older versions. I have an old WD live and it seems to work ,

Crashed my WDTV Live HD on my first use. Not a good start.

Overall works great. Detected my wdtv immediately (obviously must be already turned on). Able to pull all media (music, vids, pics) from my NAS and play it on WDTV or iPhone 5. Remote control interface is basic but functional (would be nice to have power on/off function for wdtv). Streaming HD video over wifi to my phone is choppy, but this is a router issue (not app related). For a free app, Im impressed and content.

Just bought this app and enjoyed it but along d way i discovered the ZappoTV app is the same which is free ...just have a little ads below . :-/ I dont know what advantage do i get from buying. :-/

Just Bought this app, and there are indeed a few problems with it. The app first requires you to create an account and sign in, this is a BIG turn off.... After you sign in you can in fact find your media player and browse through your movies, pictures or songs, IF you can scroll past the online services to your wdtv live hub way at the bottom of the screen. (after you click source button on the HUGE page of online services. Another big turn off as this is supposed to be a wdtvlive media player first. Once I selected a video, if you choose to pause that video or click off the playing screen, there is no way to return to your movie. This is a big one for me. You CAN click play and watch a counter as your movie plays while you watch a big play logo, but you cant see or hear your movie, I didnt realise "pause" was such an effort to get back from. Then there is the sound issue. Sound only plays some of the time. The very first time you play a video, there is sound, after that it seems to be a roll of the dice. Sound that played on one video is no guarantee that it will again on the same video. I checked mute on both the wdtv and the app/phone. Restarting the phone allows the sound to play again for a while. (not a codec issue as the sound will play the first time.) Problems: Have to sign in (pointless) Not much configuration to remove services you DIDN"T ask for. Sound continuity issues.... Pause a movie and you CANNOT RETURN TO IT??? (this is a major issue) left side icon not the right side pause. There is no way to close the app. an EXIT button would really be a life saver here. Overall, I think this could be a GREAT app, just make it do the one thing its supposed to do. I dont care about picasa, you tube, podcasts, facebook, shoutcast or flickr or any of the other streaming services I didnt know would be included. I bought this to stream movies from my wdtv live hub just like the name says. I did not want an all purpose streaming media app that works part time. The app seems like it is a beta project that was rushed to the store. How can you not have a "close" or exit button? What could have been an awesome $2.99 now feels like a sad grope. If they fix it this app would be well worth the money, if they dont, be warned... its just not worth it.

Worked great until the last update. Now it still sees my HDTV Live but it wont control it anymore. To bad I used to love it.

Not a clean app. Why am I paying $3 for an app that is ad supported. Not happy.

Was just great until i updated to ios 7. Wont stream video from my windows shared drive connected to my WDLive . Plays 2-3 seconds then freezes. Please fix!

This is bad - everyone needs a refund. First off you give up some privacy because you need an online account to run the app. Now the online site knows what your watching. Bad idea folks. Secondly you paid for the app so why do we have to loose more screen space for an advertising bar. Thats just wrong!

Cant do more with the apps other than the hd tv itself, its a waste of money

This is one app I couldnt live without. It allows me to control my wd live with iphone. Now I can listen to my music with my tv screen off.

Does not work, you will feel cheated since its $3.49
